Search engine optimisation that relies on substance
SEO has a poor reputation, and the providers who promise rankings and deliver boilerplate are to blame. What actually works is unspectacular: the page has to answer the question being asked, it has to be technically sound, and it has to load quickly.
So we do not start with keywords. We start with what your customers type and what they want to see afterwards. Everything else follows from that: headings, text, image names, internal links and the details search engines read by machine.
- The search terms your customers really use
- Technical check: status codes, canonicals, sitemap, load time
- Content that answers the question instead of circling it
- Local visibility through the Google Business Profile
Visible in AI answers, without the magic
A whole market has grown around this topic, and it promises a great deal. The facts are more sober: Google's AI features use the same ranking systems as ordinary search. Work cleanly for search and you have worked cleanly for AI answers too. There is no second route.
What does exist are plain mistakes. The most common one: AI crawlers blocked in robots.txt, often unintentionally, because a template blocked them on suspicion. A site set up that way simply does not appear in AI answers. That is the first thing we check.
- AI crawlers explicitly allowed rather than blocked by accident
- Details recorded so machines can attribute them reliably
- One clear answer per page instead of scattered content
- An honest account of what works and what does not
Social media with a plan, not on a whim
Most business profiles do not fail on skill, they fail on stamina. Three enthusiastic weeks, then six months of silence. So we start with the honest question of how much time is actually available, and the plan follows from that rather than the other way round.
After that it is about raw material. The best posts come out of what happens anyway: a finished job, an unusual order, a question customers always ask. We set things up so that this material gets collected in your business without anyone being taken off their work for it.
- Channel choice by audience, not by fashion
- An editorial plan that matches the time you have
- Content from real work rather than stock images
- Paid ads only once the goal is settled
Websites that are fast and need no cookie banner
A website is not a business card. It is the place where an enquiry is decided. Everything else we do leads there. If the site is slow, unclear or buried under consent windows, the work in front of it evaporates.
So we build without page builders and without third party scripts. Two things follow. The page loads quickly, even on a phone with a poor signal. And no data goes to third parties, which is why no consent banner is needed. This site is the example: no cookie, no analytics, no external host.
- Hand built, no page builder, no third party scripts
- No cookies and no external services, therefore no banner
- Fast on a phone, even on a poor connection
- Enquiries arrive and are logged
How it works
Four steps, no surprises
-
1
Enquiry
You tell us what you do and what is not working. An email is enough.
-
2
Review
We look at what exists: website, search results, profiles, channels, enquiries. You get an honest assessment, even if it says there is little to do.
-
3
Proposal
You receive a proposal with a fixed scope and a clear order of work. Anything not in it is not charged for.
-
4
Delivery
We work, you see the state of play as we go. It goes live only once it is right.
Does this fit your business?
Tell us what you do. We will look at what is there and say honestly whether anything is worth doing.
